Singer, songwriter, actress and record producer, Mariah Carey has had a career spanning two decades. She is known for her five-octave vocal range and earning her 18th top 100 single on the Hot 100, the most by any solo artist (the Empire state building was lit in her favourite colours of pink and lavender in honour of the achievement).
She has launched a jewellery and accessories line for teenagers, a series of exclusive ringtones, a champagne brand, shoes and a fragrance line under arrangement with Elizabeth Arden .
M by Mariah Carey
The first fragrance and signature scent from Carey has notes of marshmallow, sea breeze accord, Living Tahitian Tiare, gardenia, sheer amber, patchouli and Moroccan incense.
Carey explains on her website that the inspirations for the fragrances were, “multiple places I’ve been, moments in my life and childhood memories… I wanted my fragrance to be like a gift to my fans.”
In 2008 a Collector edition, M Gold, was released. Touted as, “the most sensual form of the original fragrance” and playing on the luxury and ‘glamour of gold’, not unlike the hype for Kim Kardashian’s upcoming Gold release.
Luscious Pink
Released in 2008, notes include bergamot, Ocean Breeze accord, sparkling Bellini accord, Tahitian Tiare, lily of the valley, pink peony, bright blond woods, creamy sandalwood and white musk

M Ultra Pink
Launched in 2009 as a Wal-mart exclusive flanker to the original M. The scent is meant to reveal a fun, flirtatious side of Mariah. The strongest accents are cherry blossom and berry with floral and sunny woods notes.
Forever 2009
A white floral with notes of neroli, lotus blossom, green apple, tuberose, gardenia, white musk and exotic woods. Perfumier Oliver Gilllotin explains, “I wanted the scent to be radiant but also to evoke a warm sensuality.”
Lollipop Bling 2009
This trio of candy scented fragrances was inspired by the moment when Carey’s husband proposed with a ring wrapped in a Ring Pop package.
Honey
A citrus floral with notes of passion fruit, pineapple juice, lemon drops, amazon lily, fresh ginger, white freesia, frosted musks, linden flower and of course, honey.
Ribbon
Inspired by the blue raspberry Ring Pop flavour, this fruity floral includes notes of raspberries, honeydew, cucumber pulp, hydrangea, blue lotus, jasmine dew, liquid musks, white woods and sugar crystals.
Mine Again
Notes include red currant, blood orange, heliotrope, raspberry chocolate, magnolia, creamy musk, tonka beans and vanilla.
